Great place to eat. Good Service. Great Fajitas.
Del Toro is an AMAZING restaurant! I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. The employees are very fast working people and the owner is SUPER friendly! The food is very authentic and amazing. It is my favorite restaurant ever! I have absolutely ZERO complaints about Del Toro. Everything about it is amazing, except for the music. I do not have a very big problem with this, it is just that I do not speak spanish, so I cannot understand it. This would be no real reason to stop going to this restaurant.
Really Good Food. Although in my case. Any food is good up to a point. Even I have my limits on what to eat. I do love to eat though.
Not as good as it was, the service and the food both have fallen bellow my expectations of what they once were.
With a kind, caring owner and food that is top notch at every meal, Del Toro makes for a great celebration, a casual meal with friends, a nice meeting location, or any other event you could have food at. I have a wonderful time every time I visit, and I enjoy it more with each visit.
Love this restaurant. Food is always fresh and delicious. And prices are fair. Everyone is always very nice and friendly.
The service was great. Prices were good. Food was excellent.
Fast service. Consistently good food and drinks.
One of the best Mexican Restaurants I've eaten at. Wonderful staff and service!
It's an old building and shows its age but the food is wonderful! Best Mexican food and good service
Service was good and food was excellent.
FAT STACKS OF FAJITA$12 gets you unlimited chips and salsa, and enough chicken or beef (chicken is better) fajita filling for 4 complete meals.Margaritas are great for the price (but only good per se).Generally speaking: food is solid, if unspectacular. Wait staff is nice and attentive. I've been twice and will continue to go for the fajitas.
Best Mexican food in America! The salsa taste like heaven in a bowl. I drive 35 minutes to get here and its worth every second!!!!
They gave us so much food great service the salsa was so good I will be back .
Friendly people great service. And my grandson loves it
Let's start with a downside: the place is really small, and that means line; but we actually arrived pretty early on a week night and many tables were still empty...still, after about one hour there was people outside waiting. If you come here at the opening you may not have this problem! The space among tables is also pretty small, but the atmosphere is still very nice, a bit elegant and romantic I would say, and it seems like the waiters do know how to do their job in there. They were also all pretty nice and ready.
Good food, great service, friendly staff
Seriously, the best Mexican restaurant in the state of Alabama. Been eating here my whole life. Their salsa is amazing and the chimichangas are the best.
The food here is amazing! I love that the wait staff is fast and efficient and always smiling. I'm allergic to bell peppers but I love fajitas and every time I order my fajitas with no bell peppers it always comes out perfect. Their Margaritas taste so good Frozen or on the rocks! The music is great and I love the decorations inside.
We stopped here on our way back to Indiana. This restaurant is located in an unassuming strip mall. The first thing we noticed was the friendly staff. They were very prompt. The food came quickly and it was very good! I had the chicken fajitas and it had a very good flavor! The margaritas were good but served in a rocks glass which is unusual for a mexican restaurant. The standout feature for this place is the exceptionally prompt service and flavorful food!
You know, I'm honestly really disappointed with Del Toros lately. This has been a restaurant I have memories of as a kid that my family and I used to go to after church, and me and my family have been going since we moved back to Alabaster. Lately (for the last year or so) every time we've gone we've had a bad experience. Not sure why we kept going back. It's always something with either the service or food. I really wish Del Toros would step up their game. We more than likely won't be going back.
Great food better service
Good food and beer, great waitresses.
Completely unacceptable! arrived at 1:55 p.m. on Saturday to have lunch and found that they close at 2 and reopen at 5 pm. AND closed on Monday!!! Why even be open at all? Close your doors! You just wasted my lunch break!!!
My favorite mexican resturant to eat at!! EVER!!! Always amazing staff and delicious food! Makes my mouth water just by simply talking about it!
I usually love this place..I have been coming here since it opened..I started coming b after awhile..It's really out of the way for us..Nothing on this side of town anymore..Last week my stuffed pepper was stone cold..The new tilapia they are advertising is a whole fish head /tail included lol.. it was ugly ..My love is fading for this place which is a shame..your food should never b cold..The chicken soup was not like any chicken soup I have eaten..it was okay ..Seriously I'm thinking of trying other places..It's a shame I used to go on dates here with my husband..I have many memories of this place ..so sad.
I had an awesome experience at this spot. We enjoyed the extraordinary environment and the menu. The staff members are very friendly. I’m happy we eventually decided to try this restaurant.
Better than Habaneros. Staff is good. Best Mexican restaurant I've been to is 2 pesos in pelham. This place comes in second though.
It was super good 👌
Happy I found this place. Hours aren't the best(they close for a couple hours between lunch and dinner) but the food makes up for it. The Chili Relleno was superb and so were the chips and salsa. Our waitress was not super attentive but she eventually got back to us. Very happy with our experience and we will be back!
We have enjoyed Del Toro for years. The service is the best. Always an abundance of chips and THE BEST homemade salsa.
I have been going there for years and me and my family Loves it and tried other places but we can’t get it like Deltoro! Great Customer Service!❤️
Del Toro was good they give you a lot of food on the lunch special. Very nice and clean restaurant. They are located in Alabaster, Alabama in the shopping center behind CVS off Highway 119.
The food is consistently well prepared and tasty, staff members gives great service. I really like how clean it is and ambience. Keep up the good work.
I really enjoyed this Mexican restaurant close to home their prices for the most popular Mexican meals back at home in CA are way more reasonable. However, their portions are much smaller than what I’d expect. The restaurant is fairly clean, their menu choices are very good but the more common traditional Mexican dishes I would find in Tijuana as well as in San Diego, aren’t on the menu it’s still very good. I recommend that if you live in Alabaster or near by or just passing through, and want to try an exceptionally traditional Mexican restaurant with great dishes to choose from, I’d definitely try here.
Food is always good and fast friendly service.
It was fine. Not the best Mexican I've eaten but maybe I just picked a bad day. I will try again in a few months. The chicken tasted like it was canned boiled chunks rather than fresh. The setting was pleasant though. Service was average.
Mediocre food and very poor service. Will not come back
Good food, great prices. Gotta get the cheese dip!
For years this has been "The Best Mexican Restaurant". This last time and I mean will also be our last time there the food was gross. Couldn't eat it it was that bad.
Food is always excellent.. Drinks are also good, not watered down. And you gotta get the white cheese dip!!!
Great place for family dinner best mexican food I've ever tasted yes it's a old. Building and could use remodeling but you can't beat the service and the food well worth giving this place a try
Favorite Mexican restaurant hands down. Been going here for years.
We got Mexican tacos (not on the menu), the tamale, and the trio enchilada. They only had asada and Pollo tacos, but they were interesting. The tacos didn't come with a salsa, so we asked for a sauce for the tacos and they gave us a dark brown (and quite spicy) sauce. It had a unique flavor, pretty good. The tamale also came with an unusual sauce, kinda like mole. The trio enchilada was the best of the things we had, each one had a different sauce - a red sauce, a brown sauce, and a green sauce. I wonder where the cook is from in Mexico, many of these flavors were new to me.The atmosphere was nice too, there are beautiful murals on the walls. I would give the food 3.5 to 4 stars, but the main negative here was that it took around 40 minutes from the time we were seated in order for us to get food on our table, so I think they were understaffed. I'd like to come back again and see if we discover more new flavors.
Got take out from there and got home and the nachos had no cheese and loaded with onions that I asked to not have . All this was on top of one chip. Disappointed.
Always fast and friendly! Great food!
Great place been going there for 28 years
Been eating here for 35 years always good good.
Always great food and service.
The food was fantastic and the people who worked there.
